Payson Hotels & Air B&Bs

Theres a variety of chain hotels in Payson, which is about a 30 min drive from the cabins. There are also a decent amount of Air B&Bs in the area you can also check into.

One of our favorite spots here is the OIC. Not only is their wood-fired pizza a slice of heaven, but their beer cheese dip is Wisconsin girl approved! We highly recommend checking out their whisky room too.

THAT Brewery & Pub

Just 5 miles down the road from Strawberry you can swing in THAT Brewery and try some locally made beer and get a bite to eat. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area where the local elk like to frequent.

Hiking on the Coconino National Forest

There are plenty of hiking opportunities on the Coconino National Forest, one of the most diverse National Forests in the country. Up here you have beautiful mountain views while hiking in the largest Ponderosa Pine stand in the world.

Flagstaff National Monuments

If you head about 1.5hrs north to Flagstaff, there are 3 National Park Service Sites you don't want to miss!

Sunset Crater National Monument- Walk in the lava fields of the volcano that erupted just one thousand years ago.

Wupatki National Monument- Beautifully preserved ruins of prehistoric pueblos in red sandstone.

Walnut Canyon National Monument- Venture down into the canyon to see Native American cliff dwellings on the mile long Island Trail.
