Our Story
How We Met
Danielle and Seth matched on Hinge. After a few days of texting back and forth, Seth planned their first date. They went to Fondita's in Ottawa and ordered the same meal...without knowing it was the other one's favorite. Seth knew that Danielle loved frozen strawberry margs. Even though he prefers his strawberry marg on the rocks, he ordered a pitcher of frozen margs for them to share. The two have been inseparable ever since!
The Proposal
Seth spent several months working with Liberty Street Jewelers in Morris, IL designing the perfect ring that contained a little bit of both him and Danielle. On May 2nd, Seth decided that he couldn't wait any longer and that the proposal was happening that evening after the couple got off of work. Those of you that know Seth, know that he loves all things bass fishing! Once the office had closed for the day, he asked Danielle to go down to the canal near his office for an evening walk. They had a mission on this walk, and it was to see if they could spot any largemouth bass spawning along the shoreline. For anyone unfamiliar to bass fishing, Spawning occurs in late spring, where the male fish will make a circular "bed", and this will serve as the spot where the female fish will lay her eggs. Danielle thought nothing of this request, because Seth always looks for a way to show her fish. On their walk, Seth mentioned that he had been working on a project for a few months... then got down on one knee and asked Danielle to spend the rest of her life with him! She said yes!! (They did find beds, however it was just late enough in the season where the bass had already left)
Unbeknownst to Danielle, Seth had his parents hide on the other side of the canal to take photos and a video of the proposal!
