Our Story
How We Met
We met at orientation at Iowa State before school had even started. We waited for each other a different doors so we missed each other and left campus. Two months later when we were back on campus we ran into each other in the courtyard while he was playing frisbee. He invited me to play and I asked for his number but he never got my text when I sent him my name. Two weeks later I texted him again and asked him to get lunch. He asked who I was, I realized he never got my first text, and we got lunch anyway and started dating about 2 weeks after that which led us here.
The Proposal
Ben proposed to me in Omaha, NE after an incredible dinner at Dynamite, a restaurant in downtown Omaha. We went back to the hotel which had a heart of rose petals, sparkling wine, and chocolate covered strawberries. The ring box was set in the center of the petals, and he told me to go get it but when I picked it up it was empty. I turned around and he was kneeling with the ring, and he asked me to marry him. I obviously said yes.
