Our Story
How We Met
March 8th, 2024 was the day that began Our Story. We started our relationship slowly through texting back and forth. The more we talked, the more we found connections we had through our lives. We were surprised that we did not stumble upon one another sooner. We both felt there was something special about one another that we hadn't ever felt before. Yes... I know, sappy! But, it truly felt meant to be. Week after week, we continued our loving adventure. We spent time with family, friends, and continued growing our lives together. We are excited to continue that growth through every day, month, and year in our future. Cheers to happiness!
The Proposal
The amazing proposal was on March 10th, 2025 in Sedona, Arizona. The morning of the 10th we drove from Phoenix to Sedona which is a beautiful 2 hour drive through the mountains. When we got to Sedona, we decided to drive around and check out all there was to see. Garrett insisted that we climb Cathedral Rock and be at the top at sunset. After a bit of driving we noticed that the parking lot to climb Cathedral Rock was closed... This meant trying to find a parking spot somewhere else and walking to the trailhead. This is where the stalling began! Being only about noon, we walked aimlessly on some "trail" for about a half hour. Finally, we decided to head towards the trailhead of Cathedral Rock. Usually we are fairly fast paced hikers, but not that day. We stopped and rested every twenty feet. Again...stalling time. We got to the top of Cathedral Rock at around 2:30pm. Wow, it was beautiful! Again, Garrett reassured me that the sunset would be worth the wait and we had to stay for it. So...we waited...almost three hours. Many visitors came to the top and headed back down, not us! After watching the brave people head to the edge for their picture to be taken, it was our turn. We walked to the edge and right there, Garrett was on one knee. The Magical Moment! As happiness fled our bodies and tears fled our eyes, the "sunset" was definitely worth the wait. There was a professional photographer up at the top to capture our special engagement as well as take pictures after. The rest of our vacation was all smiles as we celebrated our togetherness. <3
