Our Story
How We Met
We met on a dating app like many people our age. We went on our first date on Valentine's Day of 2020, which looking back was an odd choice. We hung out the entire weekend and have been together ever since. Although we met during COVID lockdown and life felt like a strange time, it gave us a lot of time to get to know each other. We've bonded through the years over our love to travel, delicious food, and new experiences. We've been together now for 5 years and looking forward to many more!
The Proposal
MJ proposed on November 9th to Erin at Paris Mountain State Park. The park is close to their house and they hike there often with their dog. Erin had plans to hike with MJ that morning and then hike again with her friend Liz. They had not looked at rings but talked about marriage, so it was a big surprise when he proposed at the top of the hike at the lake! They met up with friends and family afterward to celebrate the news. It was truly the best day!
