Our Story
How We Met
Erika and I were set up by our friends, the summer of “2009”! I remember our first conversation lasting at least five hours, until about four in the morning. After exchanging pictures and getting to know one another over the phone, we agreed that we wanted to meet each other in person. So, the next day, as promised during our long conversation, I walked into her job and I said “see, I told you I was going to come see you”. The look on her face was absolutely priceless! Or maybe it was the look of a fatal attraction, lol! Either way, WE fell madly and undeniably in love and we’ve been there ever since!
The Proposal
On January 9th 2021, Erika, myself and our daughter, Leah, took a drive to the snow (Shaver Lake, CA). We said to one another, once we see snow, we’re stopping because we didn’t have chains on the tires.. LOL! As soon as we saw snow on the side of the road, we kept our word and pulled over. We walked around a bit and found a beautiful spot (on private property🫢). After being there for just a bit, Erika handed Leah her phone to record, pulled out a small black box, got down on one knee and proposed to me. Easiest yes of my life! I will never forget how beautiful Erika made it for us! After the big question, the three of us ate a dry sandwich (inside joke) in the snow and then I fell on my butt! It was a day I will never forget! Boocakes and NewNew forever!!!
