About Brookledge

Brookledge is a magical oasis set on 60 acres in the rolling hills of Saratoga, NY. Once a girls' summer camp, it's now a beautiful, natural venue complete with running streams, walking trails, crackling campfires, and peaceful ponds. Come ready to play yard games, explore the grounds, toast marshmallows, and of course dance the night away!

Getting There

Your GPS should get you to Brookledge just fine, but if you're more into written directions, read on!

These directions are written from I-87 (the Northway), which is easily accessible from Albany Airport and all points in the Capital Region. Note that there are many different country roads that will get you to Brookledge and if using a GPS you may be given a slightly different route than this one. That said, since it will be Travers Day at Saratoga Race Track, traffic on the Northway will be very heavy at times. We suggest following a route that takes you off the Northway by exit 12 at the farthest, since exit 13 is a popular one for racetrack visitors.

Take I-87 North to exit 12. At the end of the exit ramp, go around the traffic circle to the third exit onto NY-67 W, then continue straight through the next two traffic circles to stay on NY-67 W. You'll see Mohawk Chevrolet on your left almost immediately. After just over 2 miles (shortly past Curtis Lumber on the left), turn left onto Brookline Road. Drive about 1 1/2 miles to the end of Brookline Road, passing a Valero gas station and Briggs Cemetery, both on the left. At the end of Brookline, turn right onto Middleline Road.

You'll stay on Middleline for 6 1/2 miles, passing the 4H Training Center and Sherman Tile, both on the right. At the end of Middleline Road, turn left onto NY-29 W, which at this point is Washington Street. After just 1,000 feet, keep left at the fork (at Milton Veterinary Hospital) to stay on NY-29 W. After about 5 miles (shortly after Ryan's Garage on the left), turn right onto Antioch Rd. - it's a very sharp turn!

Drive 1.3 miles on Antioch Road, bearing left at the curve with all the arrows pointing left. You will reach an intersection with Clark Road and you will see the entrance and sign for Brookledge right off the intersection.

Beating the Crowds

A word to the wise: our wedding isn't the only big event in town! This also happens to be Travers Day at Saratoga Race Track. Expect big crowds and high prices in Saratoga - we would recommend looking in the Latham and Colonie areas for lodging and food unless you especially want to mingle with the track crowd!

Accommodations

Hotels

If you're looking for a hotel, we would recommend those in Latham, Colonie, or Clifton Park.

The TownePlace Suites in Latham is a good choice with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby: https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/albla-towneplace-suites-latham-albany-airport/overview/

Vacation Rentals

If an Airbnb (or VRBO, etc.) is more your style, there are some nice options in the Middle Grove area, but they will likely be booked quickly! Want to really get away from it all? Try looking north and west of Middle Grove (toward Great Sacandaga Lake).

Things To Do

Food

Food & Drink

Druthers Brewing Company

12 Southside Dr., Clifton Park, NY 12065

Druthers is one of our favorite local spots. They have locations in Saratoga, Albany, and Schenectady too, but our recommendation would be the Clifton Park location. Their mac and cheese is amazing, and the beer cheese dip is a must!

Tipsy Moose Tap & Tavern

62 Vandenburgh Ave., Troy, NY 12180

Tipsy Moose is another local favorite, although it can get crowded! They have locations in Latham, Troy, and Albany. Depending on where you're staying the Latham one might be the closest, but the Troy location is a little bigger so it may be easier to get a table.

Bread Basket Bakery

65 Spring St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

Need a lunch spot? We love Bread Basket for sandwiches, although beware the crowds if you venture into Saratoga!

Brown's Brewing Company

417 River St., Troy, NY 12180

Brown's Brewing Company in Troy may be a little less convenient, but is still a great choice for craft beer and good food! Try ordering a "Black Cherry" - the "secret" half-and-half mix of their Oatmeal Stout and Cherry Razz beers.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que

377 River St., Troy, NY 12180

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is also in Troy but a great choice if you love barbecue!
