How We Met
Years ago, a chance online encounter ignited a spark between artists Casie and Dennis. Their shared interests quickly blossomed into a bond that grew stronger with time and trials, creating a love story as unique as their crafts.
From the vibrant streets of the Bay Area to the sun-soaked landscapes of Southern California, Dennis and Casie explored the West Coast, weaving their lives together in search of the perfect place to call home -- with countless diversions, but finding joy in meeting creatures and friends and uncovering hidden treasures in forests, beaches, and gardens. Each town they visited and each sunset they watched deepened their connection, intertwining their families and destinies.
With hearts full of love and a spirit of adventure, Dennis and Casie proved that a chance meeting can lead to extraordinary journeys. They created a beautiful quilt of memories and experiences, galvanized by the trials of health and wealth in a world that continues to spin faster and faster. As they wed, they hold on tighter to each other, sealing their devotion in marriage.
The Proposal
On a cool but sunny afternoon at Puget Sound's Point Defiance Zoo, Dennis knelt on one knee to ask for Casie's hand in marriage. But which exhibit did he choose to symbolize their union?
Sea otters, with their adorable fuzzy coats and rambunctious personalities, have a unique way of braving the ever-changing seascape that is their marine home—they cuddle and even hold hands (or rather, paws) while sleeping to avoid drifting apart. To take her hand in marriage is only the next step in what has already been their modus operandi for tackling life. Since their meeting, and even in their sleep, they have done everything hand in hand.
With a little party of onlooking sea otters, Casie, beaming with a blush, accepted. Dennis placed a diamond ring on her left hand. Together, they planned to marry.
