Our Story
How We Met
We met in middle school and started dating during our junior year of high school. February 10, 2020, was the day our journey together began. We were only sixteen at the time. Bleu, our puppy, came into our family in December 2020. He was the best addition and we can't wait for him to be our ring bearer. We attended both proms together and graduated high school in 2021. We were high school sweethearts. Matthew & Mollie decided to stay close to home and attend Carteret Community College. Mollie is currently in nursing school and will graduate in May 2024. Matthew is in diesel mechanic school and will graduate in December 2024.
The Proposal
Our friends asked us if we wanted to go get some photos taken for Christmas cards around Christmas time. Matthew's best friend has a brother who takes wonderful photos, so he volunteered to take them for us. We set a day to take them at the Fort Macon beach access. Matthew had already gotten a ring and talked to all the necessary people. On December 16, 2023, we went to the beach to get our pictures taken and Matthew proposed. We had some pictures taken and then celebrated with all our favorite people. Matthew planned a dinner for that evening for us to celebrate.
