Our Story
How We Met
It all started with a simple Instagram message from Jeremy: "Have you watched Jesus Revolution?" Rochelle was taken aback – she wasn't used to men bringing up Jesus; usually, she was the one to initiate conversations about God. Intrigued by his approach, Rochelle couldn't help but smile. The funny thing was, she hadn't actually seen Jesus Revolution yet. But that was about to change. A few hours later, Rochelle found herself at the movie theater, eager to watch the film just so she could tell Jeremy she had seen it. From that moment on, they discovered a shared passion for God, and their love story began to unfold.
The Proposal
This was a proposal for the books. The best part? Rochelle had absolutely no idea what was about to happen. As many know, Rochelle is very active in her church. On a random Sunday in January, she was beyond excited because, for some reason, all her friends and family wanted to join her at church that day! She felt like all her prayers were being answered and was thrilled! Little did she know, everyone was coming for a proposal.
Rochelle arrived at church early to save two rows of seats for her friends and family. Jeremy mentioned he had to go to the gym but assured her he would be there. As church started, Jeremy wasn’t answering his phone, and Rochelle was not happy. All her loved ones were there, but he was nowhere to be found. She called and texted him, but there was no response.
Church ended, and she finally heard from him. She thought to herself, "He is never going to the gym before church again." As Rochelle walked out of the sanctuary, Pastor James asked to pray with her. Despite being tense about Jeremy's absence, she agreed. After the prayer, Pastor James told her to turn around, and there was Jeremy on one knee!
Omg, she was so surprised! She had been so mad at him for being late, but now she was overjoyed! Jeremy proposed to Rochelle at Zeal Church, and it was one of the most amazing days of her life. She got to celebrate with her friends, family, and church family. It was truly beautiful!
