Our Story
How We Met
After meeting online and talking, we met for our first date on may 9th, 2023 at Starbucks in Bastrop. We sat and talked about everything from music, to our dream vacations, for hours. We talked for so long, we didn’t even notice the employees cleaning up around us to close for the night. From then on we were inseparable and would try to see each other every day or every other day, even if it was just for a short visit.
The Proposal
We took our yearly camping trip, this time to Big Bend National Park, as that is somewhere we wanted to explore together. During our trip, we hiked the south rim trail, which is a 12 mile round trip hike. At the middle of the hike, you can see the views from the south rim, and it was the most amazing view where you could see for 20 miles in the distance. It was there that JJ got down on his knee, as Britaney was trying to take a Polaroid picture of the view. And of course the answer was yes!
