How We Met
In November 2018, Pete and Bridget had their first date at The Coupe, a well known cozy cafe in Northwest DC. They got coffee on a sunny Sunday and talked about their shared love of nature and adventure. Pete impressed Bridget with his love of rock climbing and knowledge of the outdoors, and Bridget impressed Pete with her stories of travel - and the rest is history!
The Proposal
In October 2023, Pete surprised Bridget with a day trip to GW National Forest to hike Big Schloss Trail and recreate one of their early dates in 2018. It had been their first drive outside of DC on one of many adventures, and where they took their first picture together. Five years later, on top of that same ridge overlooking the mountains, Pete got down on one knee and asked Bridget to marry him.
