Our Story
How We Met
We met the same way we spend most of our days... working. Bri was doing marketing at a conference for probation officers. Kevin was snagging all the freebies. You could say it was love at first fly swatter!
The Proposal
All good proposals begin with three little words... "I f*cked up"
Kevin and the girls had a plan. Go to Amnicon Falls. Stop at the middle of the covered bridge. Dad kneels down and proposes. Bri says yes! The girls pop out of their hiding spots and help celebrate... In theory, fabulous plan.... Execution, not so much.
Kevin changed the plan once on the bridge, and decided he wanted to propose amongst the trees. While exiting the bridge, Bri stopped in her tracks, seeing Helaina crouched in a little ball. Rustling is heard, and Lilly is seen crouched down on the other side of the bridge and squeaks out "hi" as if she's been caught. Helaina looks up at Kevin and asks "Did you do it?!" That's when he sighs those three infamous words. "I f*cked uuuuuuup!"
Kevin proceeds to get down on one knee and say several sweet things that no one remembers. Bri, of course, says yes. And the celebration ensues.
This proposal is the most "us" thing our little family could have had.
