Our Story
How We Met
Isaac and I met in a time when neither of us thought we would be falling in love any time soon. We met through some mutual friends and instantly hit it off. (He made me laugh and kept my belly full and I kept showing up.)
The Proposal
Isaac had been talking about going to Pilot Mountain to see the over looks for months! Finally, one week he makes plans for us to go see the overlooks to get photos together and then to visit an antique shop later in the day. We get to Pilot Mountain only to find out we can’t get in because the parking lot was full. Isaac begins to stress. Having no clue what was about to happen, I begin making suggestions about changing the plan. Isaac was not having it. We were finally able to get into the park after about an hour of waiting. We walk to one of the overlooks and Isaac hands me a pair of binoculars and tells me to look at the birds. Unaware he was on one knee behind me, I stay fixated on the birds in the air. He finally has to call my name and on November 24, 2024, I said yes!
