Our Story
How We Met
Athena and Rohan went to high school together, but seldomly crossed paths. In 2018 when they were both visiting home for Thanksgiving, they ended up connecting on social media. One year later they went on their first (three) dates before Rohan had to get back to the West Coast. Fast forward one more year, and they decided to make the move to finally be together and give this relationship a real chance.
The Proposal
After two long years of waiting, Rohan finally worked up the courage to ask Athena to marry him. They were on vacation in South Africa exploring the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens when Rohan decided to ask the question. Unfortunately, it was now time for Rohan to patiently wait. Athena was too mesmerized by the scenery and did not realize he was kneeling in the gazebo right behind her. Eventually she turned around, after Rohan called her name, and it was the easiest question she ever had to answer.
