Our Story
How We Met
Ashley and Jason first met each other on Instagram in 2018. Jason posted a photo of him visiting Frostburg and at the time Ashley attended Frostburg. She commented on his post that she goes to Frostburg. Jason thought she was cute and decided to message her. He asked for her snapchat and their friendship started right away. Jason was excited to meet Ashley for the first time since he was going to Frostburg that fall. Sadly Jason's hopes were crushed when Ashley said she was leaving Frostburg. They continued to be friends by calling and texting on snapchat for about a year. Finally Ashley was returning to Frostburg. Jason and Ashley would finally meet for the first time on Ashley's 20th birthday. Jason remembers her asking him to eat lunch with her and his brother John that day. Ashley and him met outside of the cafe and Ashley surprised Jason with a big hug. Jason said "That day when she hugged me I felt a little spark" and he will eventually revisit this spark in the future. Jason and Ashley continued to be friends for about a year. Jason was in a relationship at the time and finally called it quits. Both Jason and Ashley were going through a tough time in school. They were lonely and texted each other at the same time to hang out. Ashley really wanted to go to the gym but Jason did not feel like going. Eventually Ashley convinced him to go so he did. Jason invited Ashley over for dinner and things took off from there. What started out as a one day hangout ended up being everyday. Soon after hanging out everyday they had their first kiss. Both explain the feeling of that kiss as an explosion. A couple months went by and Jason asked out Ashley and they started dating June 2rd 2022. This wonderful story leads up to their love for each other and how both of them could not stay away from the feeling they felt within.
The Proposal
On Christmas day in 2022 Jason proposed to Ashley down at the dock at his grandparents' house during the sunset. Ashley was not expecting the proposal and thought they were only taking photos. Ashley was annoyed about taking photos since it was cold outside. Little did she know Jason's brother was not taking photos but recording them. Jason was so nervous when he got down on one knee and pulled out the ring box it was upside down. Jason flipped the box over and Ashley laughed because of how silly Jason was. Jason was thankful that the ring did not fall out of the box and into the water. Ashley said yes and then Jason stuck the ring on her finger. Jason and Ashley kissed and held each other for a while talking about how much they love each other.
