How We Met
Believe it or not Tanner and Ashley met online on Facebook Dating. Tanner had just moved to the Sioux Falls area when he saw Ashley's dating profile and he swiped right! Shortly after on May 4, 2022, they went on their first date and they were hooked! From outstanding road trips and traveling to simple bar dates and everything in between, that city boy stole the country girl's heart!
The Proposal
On what seemed to be a normal vacation to the Black Hills over Labor Day Weekend 2023, Tanner and Ashley were hiking the two miles around Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park when Tanner urged Ashley to climb a rock formation, despite her knee bugging her from the hike. While up there, Tanner asked strangers to take their picture, but he had actually asked them to take a video. During which Tanner got down on one knee and popped the question, with the help of their dog, Rollo, of course!
