Our Story
How We Met
"He has made everything beautiful in His time."
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Our love story wasn’t just a chance encounter—it was written by the hand of God, in His perfect time.
Two Paths, One Purpose
Before we met, we were walking our own journeys—both grounded in faith and service. Arlene was pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration in Boston for a year, while Dennis was in Arizona, dedicated to his work as a Hydraulic Designer. Even in our separate paths, we were both walking with the Lord and actively involved in ministry among the marginalized. Though we didn’t know it then, God was already preparing our hearts for each other.
A Divine Connection
In a surprising twist, God used technology to bring us together. We met on Christian Café, an online dating site, and what started as messages soon became late-night calls, shared prayers, and heartfelt conversations. Despite the miles between us, our bond grew stronger each day.
.Love Across the Distance
Long-distance wasn’t easy, but we leaned on faith. Every challenge brought us closer—teaching us patience, trust, and how to love with intention. Through it all, we believed God was writing something beautiful, just as Ecclesiastes 3:11 promises.
Rooted in Faith
Our relationship was never just about romance. It was built on prayer, shared dreams, and a desire to serve together. We grew as individuals and as a couple—learning to love with grace, to encourage each other, and to keep Christ at the center.
The Proposal
A Public Promise
On January 29, 2025, in the cool air of Baguio City, surrounded by Arlene’s beloved relatives and a room full of strangers at a fine dining restaurant, Dennis made a bold and beautiful declaration. With heartfelt intention, he got down on one knee and asked Arlene to be his wife. It was more than a proposal—it was a public promise of his love and commitment to a lifetime together, a defining moment on the road to forever.
New Chapter Begins
As we prepare to say “I do” in Arizona, our hearts are full. This love is a testament to God’s faithfulness—a reminder that His timing is always perfect. We know our story is only beginning, and we can’t wait to walk into this new season, hand in hand, with Him leading the way.
