How We Met
Hunter and I met in college at East Carolina University the summer before my senior and his junior year, brought together by one of our closest friends, Ridge. Hunter didn't realize that he was also going to be blessed with Riley, our fur baby, who is our entire world. We started dating August 1st, 2019.
The Proposal
We got engaged at Ironwood Golf Course on August 20th, 2023, where we had recently become members. The "plan" was that we were going to a social event and golfing a couple of holes before the social event started. We made our way to the beautiful bridge on Hole 4. Hunter "accidentally" dropped the golf ball behind him, and when I picked it up it read "Alyssa, will you marry me?" and I turned around and Hunter was on one knee with a gorgeous ring in his hand. I immediately said yes and we were both overcome with excitement. When I turned around, Riley was running towards us along with both of our families. We are so lucky and cannot wait to say I do!
