Our Story
How We Met
We met in the summer of 2020 going into our first year of college at UW-Eau Claire. We were introduced to each other through mutual friends and got to know each other better through a class we had together our first semester on campus. Our first date was getting Olson's ice cream and chatting at the park. Somehow Nathaniel managed to incorporate a round of disc golf into this date, and the rest is history!
The Proposal
Nathaniel planned a surprise trip for Alexis' 23rd birthday. One of our first dates as a couple was a day trip to Duluth, MN and we had been meaning to go back for some time so it was the perfect excuse for Nathaniel to include it in a birthday surprise trip. The trip started in Duluth where we hiked around a few parks on the most beautiful and peaceful day. We stopped by Amnicon Falls and were recreating some photos we had taken back in 2021. We stopped by the frozen waterfall underneath the covered bridge, and that is where Nathaniel completly took Alexis by surprise and got down on one knee!
