How We Met
We met on July 11, 2022, and bonded over our love of ice cream. Both of us were looking for true connection and willing to put forth the effort to form an amazing relationship. We believe communication is the key to true, lasting love. By striving to always be open and honest with each other, even when it isn't easy, we have cultivated a deep and sincere connection
The Proposal
Engaged on August 4th, 2024.
"The morning of August 4th I had no idea that I would end up proposing that day. I got the ring the day before we were attending her Grandmother's 80th birthday party. That morning I was looking at the ring, thinking about how insane it would be to propose in front of her entire family at her Grannie's birthday party. I decided to bring the ring with me just in case it felt right. My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest sitting next to Alayna while Grannie was opening gifts. I wanted to propose right there in the middle of the living room at the end of opening gifts, but I didn't know if I was going to be able to work up the courage. My apple watch was sending me high heart rate notifications, so I had to go to the bathroom to take deep breaths and muster up the courage. At the end of opening gifts I handed my phone to Alayna's Aunt April with the video camera pulled up, went to the front of the room, and got down on one knee. It was spontaneous, nerve wracking, and I'm so glad I did it. I have no doubt it was the best decision I've ever made"
