How We Met
During the last few weeks of college, we were introduced by a mutual friend, Ashlee Roy, our matchmaker and Abbey's best friend. Jake went to the University of New England with Ashlee while Abbey was going to Colby-Sawyer. We hit it off and, until we both got a job in Lebanon, NH, we traveled 3.5 hours between Alton, NH and Westford, VT on the weekends to see each other. We also share the same birthday, August 26 (so the 26th has a special place in our hearts). We look forward to celebrating our love with you all on October 26, 2024!
The Proposal
Jake had planned a weeks worth of Abbey’s favorite things (crafts, holiday movies, fancy dinners) and on December 21, 2023, Jake took Abbey to go see Christmas lights in Royalton, VT and proposed to her under a beautifully lit tree. It was a perfect night, despite the temperature being in the teens, and we celebrated with tacos and margaritas, our favorite.
