Sleepy Lagoon is a picturesque, park-like property that offers 18 acres just five miles north of Downtown Covington. Think azalea-lined driveways, green space rife with indigenous trees, lagoons, lighted fountains, wooden bridges, elevated walkways along the water, and a small private beach on the Bogue Falaya River. We are one mile north of Vintage Court (soon to be The Greenwood) on Hwy. 25. Visit our website www.sleepylagoonla.com and you’ll see what makes Sleepy Lagoon so special. The grounds are magical…the perfect backdrop for your day of wedding photos! The grounds also offer multiple seating areas spotted around the Main House. The property offers two homes for rental: Sleepy Lagoon Main House and Sleepy Lagoon Cottage. The Main House and the Cottage are separated on the property by about 250 yards . It's a short stroll from one to the other, but also far enough away to keep bride and groom private before the "First Look". Most brides choose to get ready with their bridesmaids, mothers, etc. in the Main House while the groom and groomsmen get ready in the Cottage. There are tons of things for the guys to do on the property while the ladies are taking care of hair and makeup! Inquire about fishing, yard games, crawfish boils, barbecue, clay shooting, and beach set ups.

Sleepy Lagoon Main House
• 3850 sq. feet (half of which is an open floorplan living/entertaining area with floor to ceiling windows offering views of the ponds, lagoons, and lighted fountains on site). Sleeps 6 total guests.
• Master King Suite with ensuite bath and connected sitting room perfect for brides to get dressed in (and for couples to spend their honeymoon night!) Large walk-in closet to store belongings neatly away for all of your photographs.
• King Guestroom and Twin Daybed with trundle Guestroom. Both share full upstairs bath.
• Incredible entertaining area featuring restroom, seating for 20-plus guests, dining tables that seat 20, a wet bar, and a 12-foot gaslit fireplace.
• Chef’s kitchen, perfect for heating up a catered bridal brunch (or we can set up a chef for you!)
• Outdoor upstairs deck overlooking the grounds, featuring patio furniture to seat up to 14.
• Photographer/Videographer/Hair & Makeup Artists welcome! We require vendor contact information and a copy of their certificate of insurance.
• On site amenities include: Mimosa Bar, Multiple full-length mirrors, hanging rack for bridesmaid’s dresses, steamer and iron/ironing board, make-up wipes, hair pins, cotton balls, Q-tips, Keurig and commercial size coffee carafe, and Bluetooth speakers.
• The Main House may be booked for either a weekend stay, or simply for Day of Wedding.
• All bookings include use of the expansive property for bridal party photos!
• The Main House is truly a Bridal Party’s dream come true where everyone has space to roam about and enjoy their day in a beautiful relaxing environment.

Sleepy Lagoon Cottage
• 1500 sq. foot cottage that sleeps up to 8 guests.
• Four bedrooms: 3 Queen bedrooms and one small bedroom with twin daybed with twin trundle. Two full baths. Full kitchen, laundry, and living room.
• Outdoor BBQ pits (both charcoal and gas operated). Outdoor refrigerator. Outdoor patio furniture.
• The Cottage is perfect for the Groom and his groomsmen! It’s easy to keep the bride and groom separate on the day of the wedding as the Cottage is set back on the property away from the Main House. Groomsmen can fish in the lagoon…hang at the sandy beach at the river…BBQ or have a crawfish boil…Skeet shoot…The possibilities are endless!
• The Cottage may be booked for either a weekend stay, or simply for Day of Wedding.
• Photographer/Videographer/Hair & Makeup Artists welcome! We require vendor contact information and a copy of their certificate of insurance.
• All bookings include use of the expansive property for bridal party photos!
• The Cottage can also be perfect to house out of town guests and family for the wedding weekend!

Sleepy Lagoon's Main House is also ideal for small events such as bridal showers, baby showers, family reunions, corporate events, photo shoots, yoga retreats...the list is endless! We also host micro weddings, engagement proposals, engagement parties, small rehearsal dinners, and small wedding receptions.
