Our Story
How We Met
We first met in November of 2022 through friends. Garrett was playing rugby at the time, and Morgan was attending a game with a friend. We ended up officially meeting that evening when the team and friends were hanging out. From then on, Morgan continued to cheer for him in the stands and tried her best to learn the rules of rugby! After that, we kept in touch and started going on dates, and the rest is history as they say!
Since then, we have enjoyed a variety of adventures together. Some of our favorite adventures have included spending time at the beach and on a boat, eating Mexican food, soaking up the sunshine outside, and spending time with family and friends.
We are so thankful for the way God worked in both of our lives to bring us together! We also are grateful for the support of friends and family along the way. Now, we are looking forward to all that God has in store for us in the future and can't wait to see how he continues to deepen our relationship with Him and with each other!
The Proposal
Garrett had a great, elaborate plan that he successfully executed! We went for lunch at Rose's on Reeds Lake to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, which was one week prior. After a lovely lunch with a beautiful view of the lake, we began walking around. We walked on one of the boardwalks that overlooks the lake. At the end of the boardwalk, Garrett got down on one knee and a photographer captured our special moment! The rest of the day involved celebrations with family, including Garrett's parents surprising us from North Carolina! God is so good, and the day was so, so special.
