Our Story
How We Met
New Years Eve entering 2020 my friend drug me to a bar even though I insisted staying home. It was just a little after 12am when I saw Nick in his Christmas sweater and absolutely fell in love with him at first sight. I asked our mutual friends to introduce us, but Nick carried on with the evening. I used my detective skills the next day to trace down Nicks social media and the rest was history! Funny enough, Nick and I also matched a couple of months before on Bumble, but it didn’t lead anywhere. I didn’t know it was him from Bumble when I saw him, but when I added him on Facebook noticed through a picture!
The Proposal
February 7th, 2023 just a normal Tuesday for me at the beginning of the day. Nick gets home and is acting a bit stranger than usual pacing around the house. He stated he was going to make us a steak dinner, but he had to get his charger out of the car first and came back in with beautiful roses instead. He then proceeded to run downstairs, back up, back down, and then outside. I just kinda scratched my head and really didn’t think too much of it.. until he came back inside. Nick came back in hysterically crying, red faced, and was grinning from ear to ear. I knew that face, it was his I am really excited face. A couple of “what’s happening,” “why are you crying while smiling,” and “what are you hidings” later, Nick pulls out the ring and just stares at me. He was even too stunned to speak. We both happily cried together and enjoyed our first night together as an engaged couple.
